Nacelle’s Operations Manager works to successfully execute Nacelle’s daily operations. In addition to being technically capable and detail oriented, the successful candidate will possess excellent organizational, time management and communication skills ensuring activities/jobs are delivered on-time and on budget with minimal surprises. An unrelenting focus on safety and the customer is paramount including the ability to listen to, understand and solve customer and project problems in a comprehensive and cost-effective manner, think strategically about Nacelle’s value proposition and engage in activity/ job implementations and operations throughout the lifecycle of the project. This individual will work with Management, Engineering, Business Development and Administrative departments within company to ensure Nacelle is successful in all phases of our business.

· Skills Required

  • RNG Processing Equipment Knowledge and Experience a plus
  • Gas Compression and Conditioning Equipment Experience
  • PLC / HMI Knowledge and Troubleshooting Experience
  • Manure Handling Equipment Experience, Operations and Repairs
  • Anaerobic Digester Operations Experience
  • Steam Boiler Operations and Maintenance Experience
  • Equipment Operation Experience, front-end loader, all terrain forklift, various type of personal lifting equipment
  • Basic Electrical Knowledge and minor troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID’s, and other drawings as they relate to various equipment
  • Must possess the ability to be self-directed and driven
  • Represent Nacelle in a professional matter at all times, to the client, the host farm and its owners and employees, vendors, contractors, any gov’t agencies that you may interact with
  • Responsive and Respectful to fellow employees and management
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Previous Supervisory experience
  • Scheduling and Record Keeping Skills
  • First Aid / CPR Trained, or willing to be certified within 6 months
  • OSHA 10, or willing to obtain within 3 months
  • Driver’s License with acceptable driving record

· Responsibilities

  • Overall Plant Operations, Safety, Performance, Maintenance, and Appearance
  • Daily Coordination with Dairy Representatives, examples are as follows but not limited to- changes in flush schedules, issues with recycle flush water systems, well shutdowns or maintenance
  • Accurately report to Nacelle Management any issues that arise between Nacelle Operations and Dairy Operations
  • Scheduling Routine and Major Maintenance
  • Record keeping of Routine Maintenance and Major Maintenance
  • Writing full reports on any failures. Cause, what was done to repair, any improvements to prevent future failures
  • Daily scheduling of personnel, equipment, vendors, 3rd party contractors, equipment contractors and anything else to most effectively and on budget meet our company and customer requirements
  • On-Site Inventory Management
  • Work Closely with Regional Manager to develop and maintain operating budget
  • Work closely with Nacelle Accounting department for monthly invoice approvals
  • Daily Walk-through data recording, all site equipment, Electronic Maintenance Software
  • Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on manure handling equipment
  • Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on gas compression and conditioning equipment
  • Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on digester and its related equipment
  • Troubleshooting and Repairing Controls and Instrumentation, PLC’s, HMI’s, PT’s TT’s, etc
  • Minor Electrical Repairs, but ability to know when to call in licensed electrician
  • Identify Operational Efficiencies and be able to convey them to management
  • Weekly Site Safety Audits
  • Ability to make quick and accurate decisions on next steps during a shutdown or emergency.

· Reporting & Telemetry Management

  • Maintain meters, SCADA system and any other relevant telemetry to ensure real time information is available for all of our equipment
  • Daily review of job / equipment performance with a focus on volume and uptime actuals verse expectations in order to respond accordingly when issues and variances arise

· Safety and OQ Programs

  • Review Nacelle current Safety and OQ Program and recommend best practices and ways to improve
  • Enforce and Manage Nacelle’s Safety and OQ Programs
  • Complete Incident reports and near misses when required and hold safety meetings and make policy changes when applicable

· Standard Operating Procedures, Operator Checklists and Job Aides

  • Review, understand and update all current Nacelle SOP’s, checklist and job aides as it relates to operations
  • Develop any new SOP, checklist and Job Aides for operations team when needed
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with SOP’s, checklist and job aides for the operations team
  • Complete appropriate paperwork and documentation and share and file accordingly per company processes and procedures

 

 

Physical Demands/Working Environment

Regularly required to:

  • Use hand tools and equipment, repetitive hand use such as simple grasp and twisting motion included
  • Talk and hear; verbally express ideas, information, and instructions
  • Have the ability to work around loud to moderate noise
  • Climb stairs and ladders to elevated workspaces
  • Lift, pull, push, or carry up to twenty-five (25) pounds regularly and up to seventy five (75) pounds occasionally

Occasionally required to:

  • Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Stand/walk for long periods of time without a break
  • Remain seated in a normal position for up to half the workday
  • Enter and work in confined spaces
  • Work in low-lit areas

Miscellaneous

  • Must be available to work all shifts and schedules.
  • Will be required to work in all climate conditions
  • Must be available for emergency call outs
  • Depending upon the location and workload, travel will be required.
  • Will be required to participate and qualify for a variety safety training programs.
  • This is a safety sensitive position subject to random drug testing
  • Desire to attend training in classroom type setting on various pieces of equipment
  • Required to successfully complete a background check and pass pre-employment drug screening
